BTV Beijing Media Network Special Game Show I was invited to participate while I was appearing in China, where world top magicians teach their celebrity students to perform and impress the studio audience. This was really fun.
I was invited to perform my sleight-of-hand costume change at the College Magic Festival in Beijing, China, which was not only fun, but I felt greatly respected and well treated by the organizers and fellow magicians.
My first time appearing in China, and at the Beijing Happy Valley Family Festival, where I performed playful magic during the day and presented my sleight-of-hand costume change act at night, performing on two stages each day.

Working the special guests of Kia Corporation at their special “Cash Bash”, 007 themed event at the Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas.
I was introduced by Lance Burton, and honored to receive the “Best Cabaret Magician” award, live on tape, Airing on MyNetwork TV, hosted by Jill St. John and Robert Wagner, produced by Associated Television International.
I was performing both my sleight-of-hand costume change act, and a large scale escape illusion.
I was asked to close the show with Joseph Gabriel at the 53rd annual, “It’s Magic” show in Hollywood, California at the legendary Kodak Theatre (now called the Dolby Theatre). This show, sponsored by the famous Magic Castle, and hand selects top magicians from all over the world to perform for this spectacular “one-night-only” event.
Bringing our record breaking show for the very first time to the World Famous Hollywood Magic Castle at the Palace of Mystery. Joseph Gabriel and I were performing sleight-of-hand, large scale illusions, audience participation and so much more.

I was offered the featuring act at Viva Las Vegas, Vegas’ longest running afternoon show at the Plaza Hotel where I performed my sleight-of-hand costume change act and also a larger illusion, plus audience participation.
I was asked by the most-watched TV series, RTL Klub’s Focus, to do a special on me and my story in America when I returned to Hungary to visit my family.
Audience voted “Best Show of the Year” in Nevada, “The Magic of Joseph Gabriel and Katalin” was appearing at the River Palms hotel. The producers added extra seats and later extra show dates before our contract was extended.

My first show in America. I was performing close-up magic for the audience before the show, and later I was added to the great cast of the best magicians from all over the world! I was the only female magician both on the Las Vegas and touring shows of the World’s Greatest Magic Show.

My act was featured once again on the Hungarian TV station, channel 2 (TV2).
My performance at the Astoria Club was recorded by the Hungarian TV channel, Szív TV (TV Heart).
I was asked to perform my act at the Astoria Club in Budapest.
I was also asked to perform my award winning act, live on air at the popular Hungarian TV channel, Duna TV (TV Danube).
After receiving the International Award and the title “Magician of the Year“, I was asked to appearing on the most popular morning live Hungarian TV show at the RTL klub.
After competing on more magic festivals, I was asked to perform on Hungarian TV channel 2 ( TV2) again, but on a different show.
After competing at winning first place at the Železnobrodské Days of Magic Championship in Czech Republic, I was asked to perform my act on the Hungarian TV channel 2 (TV 2), which was live on air.
My first magic competition, which was open to the public was at the Rodolfó Gyermek es Ifjúsági Büvésztalálkozó (childrens magic festival) at the Rodolfo Magic Festival.
I was asked to perform at the Hungarian Actor’s Chamber Festival of Csepürágó, (Csepürágó Festival) held at the Budapest Castle Garden’s “Magic Stage”.
One day a reporter hear about our magic gatherings and came to one of our meetings to videotape us performing our magic. This was my first TV appearance, and it was on the number one Hungarian Television station, MTV
I started learning from a master magician, Janos Habok, at the Corvin Művelődési Ház (Corvin House of Culture), and this is where my first public magic appearance was, performing larger illusions we made with my team, and I also presented my card routine on a special “close-up mat” I crafted.

I took every opportunity to perform for friends and family and my school as well. Here I’m presenting a card trick for my grandma, while her chosen card is actually behind my back.

It took me a while learning and practicing my favorite magic tricks to perform, but I made up tickets to my show and offered it to everyone in my family. When the day came, I covered up every furniture in the room and performed my first magic show, including card magic, audience participation and so much more.. 🙂
How it all begin
This warm summer day in the heart of Budapest, I was playing around, sneaking up to my grandma’s attic. Rummaging through the great treasures that my grandma saved was always made me excited, but I didn’t know this day will change my life forever. This was the day I discovered a “magic kit”.
