The Journey

I wasn't exactly sure what I was finding.

As a curious five-year-old, this wasn't the first time that I stumbled upon a long-forgotten treasure tucked away at my grandma's attic, but this time was different. I was so excited as I opened the mystical, weather-worn yellow case. On the top was written "Rodolfó 55 mutatvány" (55 tricks of Rodolfó).

Inside were an assortment of strange items: tiny swords, sponge balls, an incomplete deck with peculiar symbols on each card.. It was obvious that this case had once belonged to someone a while ago.

Who would own such fascinating items, and what compelled my grandmother to save this mysterious case, tucked away in the depths of her attic?

I never found out the answer, but from then on, my life path was set without me realizing..

My name is Katalin (pronounced like Catalina Island, but without the A at the end), and this is how I began discovering the art of magic!

I was fortunate to have the continuous support of my parents to pursue this secretive art further. I was accepted for private mentorship by Master Magician János Habók and later by Renowned Conjuror Péter Sugár, that led to various television performances and magic competitions not only in my homeland of Hungary but also in neighboring countries.

Years later, that childhood curiosity and consistent dedication led me from Budapest to Las Vegas, where I became a featured performer in The World’s Greatest Magic Show — the original production that later inspired what is now known as "The Illusionists" theater show.

Today, my work is commissioned for international television productions, private corporate events, and exclusive performances in Las Vegas and beyond.
